Because many developers—including Apple—update their iOS apps often, it’s easiest to enable the Updates switch in Settings > iTunes & App Stores so your iPhone and iPad apps update automatically. That’s convenient, but how will you know what has changed? Here’s the trick. On the Updates screen of the App Store app, tap What’s New to read the release notes for already updated apps. Watch out, though—the Updated entries disappear after a few weeks! Consider making a weekly reminder to check the What’s New info for your key apps, since it may also include handy usage tips or interesting background about the developer.
