Simply Mac’s President, Steve Bain was named a Utah Region Finalist for the 2009 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The Ernst & Young awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate extraordinary success in the areas of innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award celebrates those who are building and leading successful, growing and dynamic businesses, recognizing them through regional, national and global awards programs in more than 135 cities in 50 countries.

Simply Mac was named to Utah Business’s 2009 Fast 50 in the Emerging Eight category. The Utah Business Fast 50 program highlights the 50 fastest growing companies that are based in Utah and have reported revenues for at least five years. The Emerging Eight category consists of eight companies who are less than five years old with exceptional revenue performance and high growth potential. All companies were recognized for their entrepreneurial spirit, innovative business tactics and skyrocketing revenue growth.

Simply Mac was named by Mountain West Capital Network as one of the 12 Emerging Elite Companies in Utah in 2009. The Mountain West Capital Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering deal flow, capital development and business growth in Utah. Each year since 1995, The Mountain West Capital Network has honored Utah’s top 100 fastest growing companies and a select group of “Emerging Elite” businesses in Utah. Business qualifying for the 100 fastest growing companies must be based in Utah and have five years of operating history. Winners of the Emerging Elite category are businesses with great prospects for future growth and success, but which did not meet the minimum requirement of five years of operating history.
